This
trophy will be awarded to the winner of the Late Model Stocks Feature event
on Saturday, April 21st (Whelen Night at the Races!), our first 100-lap
special event of the year. The trophy was fabricated by Xtreme Trophies, of Hendersonville, NC, with the help of Whelen Engineering. It stands approximately 42" tall, and has a diamond-plate base with the NWAAS logo on a metal plate attached to the front of the base. The three bars in the trophy each contain a Whelen light-bar, with LED's that flash red, white, & blue. Two lights are also imbedded in the base, and light up and illuminate the NWAAS logo. The Whelen logo is also featured on the plaque attached to the top of the trophy. A motorcycle battery is installed in the base of the trophy, with a toggle switch to illuminate the lights.
A true collector's item and one trophy sure to bring the best drivers out to Hickory Motor Speedway on "Whelen Night at the Races!"
