Hickory Motor Speedway Supports Autism Speaks
( Newton, NC – August 24, 2010 ) Hickory Motor Speedway supports a great cause, Autism Speaks, this Saturday, August 28 th as they host Autism Speaks Night presented by Pepsi Max and S&S Exteriors.
The night will feature racing action from the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series with appearances by the Bojangles Late Models, the Everything Attachment Super Trucks, the Advance Auto Parts Limiteds, the Red Baron Race Parts Hobby Stocks, the Ford Focus Midgets and Twin 20-Lap features for the Hickory Street Stocks.
After capturing his seventh win of the season during the Late Model race on August 14 th , the No. 10 of Andy Mercer continued to increase his lead in the Bojangles Late Model divisional point standing. Mercer currently leads the No. 88 of second place driver Kyle Mansch by a mere 26 points. The No. 5 of Dexter Canipe Jr. had a great run during the August 14 th show, coming home second closing the gap between him and Mansch, bringing the spread to a 36 point difference.
Grandstands for Autism Speaks Night open at 5 p.m., with qualifying immediately following. An On-Track Autograph Session will take place at 6 p.m., with the green flag falling at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for teens and seniors, $5 for kids 7- 12, with kids 6 and under FREE!
