On Saturday Night, June 4 th during post race tech HMS Officials questioned the appearance of the heads on the #43 Late Model of Jesse LeFevers. A disqualification was issued and results were sent out as un-official until further inspection could be completed. With a variety of castings, each casting is similar, but can have subtle differences. Upon further tech with all available castings and assistance from the NASCAR R & D Center, these heads are deemed legal and LeFevers will be awarded his finishes for both races on Saturday Night. General Manager – Kevin Piercy stated, “We apologize for any inconvenience this may have been for Mr. LeFevers or the competitors, however, the important thing is that we get these decisions right. I am comfortable at this point with our efforts for Saturday Night and appreciate everyone's patience.”
