NEWTON, N.C. (June 2nd, 2012) Twin 50's were the order of the night at Sig's Tire Centers/Schronce Used Parts & Cars Night Presented by Whelen with Josh Wimbish securing the pole for the 1 st 50-lapper. Wimbish took the early lead with the #2 of Trey Gibson in second, the #12 of Austin McDaniel in third, and the #97 of Keith Bumgarner in fourth. The battle was heating up between the top five. The #12 of McDaniel and #97 of Bumgarner battled door to door for several laps. On lap #22 contact between the #11 of Matt Piercy and the #1 of Pietro Fittipaldi brought out the first caution. Bumgarner and McDaniel battled after restart with Bumgarner taking the lead. LeFevers and the #28 of Dexter Canipe Jr. battled for fourth. The second caution came out on lap 29 when the #81 of Akinori Ogata spun in turn four. Bumgarner powered by McDaniel on the restart at lap 30, but McDaniel moved back to the inside on lap 32 and the two battled door to door over the next several laps exchanging the lead. Bumgarner took the outright lead on lap 37. The caution would fly again on lap 43 to bring out a 7-lap shootout with Bumgarner and McDaniel battling for the top spot lap after lap. McDaniel pulled to the door of Bumgarner with 2 laps to go. Down the backstretch it was neck and neck and Bumgarner took the win by just 3 ft., followed by McDaniel, Gibson, LeFevers and Canipe Jr.

The second race on the schedule was the Hickory Super Trucks with the #33 of Jeremy Birch leading them to the green. Birch would battle door to door for 9 laps with the #02 of Jason Cochran. Lap 9 brought out the 1 st caution with a spin down the front stretch by the #0 of Jody Church. Cochran would assume the lead on lap 9. On the restart Cochran took the lead followed closely by Birch and Hignutt in 2 nd and 3 rd . Hignutt moved to the high side to battle with Birch for 2 nd , the two exchanged the position lap after lap. The last lap Hignutt pulled to 2 nd as Cochran moved to the high side and cruised to the win, followed by Hignutt, Birch, the #29 of Ricky Dennie and the #86 of Mike Eplee.

Kevin Eby sat on the pole and led the field to the stripe in the Wrench Rags Street Stock race. The #03 of Eby took the early lead followed by the #5 of Mike Newton, the #64 of Marshall Sutton, the #17 of Baron Kuritzky and the #99 of Roy Smith. Smith moved to the outside to take 4 th from Kuritzky on lap 5 as the battle heated up between Eby and Newton. Kurtizky would take the 4 th spot back from Smith on lap 17 of the race. Eby would pull to a 6-car advantage. Kuritzky pulled to the inside of Sutton with 1 to go but Eby would take the checkered followed by Newton, Sutton, Kuritzky and Smith.

The Paramount KIA Limited Late Models had another great field of cars with the #07 Josh Bralley taking the pole and leading the field to the green. Contact with Bralley and the #72 of Jason Cochran would bring out the first caution. Bralley and the #12 of Annabeth Barnes would take the brunt of the accident. The restart put the #9 of Charlie Watson bringing them to the green. The #22 of Dan Moore and the #15 of Brandon Atkinson battled for 2 nd while the #21 of Monty Cox battled with the #7 of Travis Byrd for 7 th . Atkinson worked to the bottom of Moore and took the 2 nd spot on lap 10. The #55 of Zach Bruenger and the #51 of Jeremy Pelfrey set their sights on 3 rd but Moore was able to pull away by three car lengths. Point leader #00 Shane Lee pitted during the first caution but just could not get his car back to the front. Meanwhile Cochran had worked back to 8 th at halfway. Bruenger went to the bottom and took 3 rd from Moore on lap 23 and Pelfrey and Byrd followed to drop Moore to 6 th . Atkinson moved to the inside of Watson for the lead on lap 27. The two exchanged the lead spot over the last 6 laps with Atkinson taking the lead on lap 31. Atkinson would hold off a late charge by Watson taking the win. Watson would finish 2 nd , followed by Bruenger, Pelfrey, and Byrd rounding out the top 5.

The second twin NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Bojangles Late Model Stock Car race rolled off with the #43 of Jesse LeFevers leading the pack to the green. The #97 of Keith Bumgarner took the early lead with a 4 car battle for 2 nd between the #51 of Josh Wimbish, LeFevers, the #11 of Matt Piercy and the #12 of Austin McDaniel. LeFevers would take the lead until lap 27 when the caution would fly for a spin by the #81 of Akinori Ogata. Ogata would spin again on lap 33. LeFevers would continue to lead after the restart on lap 33. A spirited battle between the McDaniel, LeFevers and Wimbish for the lead would end with LeFevers taking the spot on lap 43. McDaniel and LeFevers returned to battle for the lead with Wimbish in tow. LeFevers would take the win with McDaniel 2 nd , Wimbish 3 rd , #2 of Trey Gibson 4 th and Bumgarner 5 th .

The evening concluded with a spectacular Bigfoot Monster Truck Car Crush. Bigfoot crushed and jumped over several cars all to the enjoyment of a packed house.
