Moon takes Emotional Win  in the "3rd Annual Fall Classic  100-Lap  Gold King Limited Late Model Event

(Newton, NC - - Sept. 30, 2014) Kyle Moon enjoyed a memorable celebration with family and friends in Victory Lane after collecting the win in the 3rd Annual Finish Line Heating and Air Fall Classic 100-lap feature event for the Gold King Limited Late Models. Clint Fields (No. 16 - Super Trucks), Eddie Gilbert (No. 00 - 4-Cylinders) and Charlie Neill (No. 6 - WrenchRags Renegades) also earned the chance to celebrate in Victory Lane following their individual wins.

Marcus Lambert (No. 5) earned the pole position for the Gold King Limited Late Model feature event, and looked as thought he was going to pull away from the 26-car field during the early laps until the No. 17 of Kyle Mansch drove alongside Lambert on lap five and took over the top spot as they headed out of turn four. Mansch survived multiple caution periods during the first half of the main event including one that sent pole sitter Lambert to the back of the field. Following a lap-40 caution period, the No. 5 of Dexter Canipe Jr. was scored in the second position and challenged Mansch for the lead. Canipe Jr. would be credited with one lap led, before Mansch returned to the front of the field on lap 42 bringing along the No. 19 of Kyle Moon, who settled into second.

As green-flag racing resumed on lap 56 following the 10th caution period of the night, Moon challenged Mansch for the lead taking over the position after going three wide with the No. 18 of Bradley McCaskill coming out of turn four. A total of 14 cautions were recorded throughout the event, but Moon was able to hold on to the top spot and pick up the win in the 3rd Annual Finish Line Heating and Cooling 100-lap Gold King Limited Late Model feature event. The No. 7 of Taylor Stricklin picked up a second-place finish, while McCaskill, the No. 77 of Travis Byrd and the No. 21 of Monty Cox completed the top five.

The No. 16 of Clint Fields retuned to America's Most Famous Short rack to compete in the Super Truck event and picked up the pole award for the 35-lap race. The No. 09 of Mark Johnson immediately challenged Fields for the lead during the early laps. The two ran side-by-side until lap five when Fields began to pull away from the field. The No. 91 of Jason Cochran spent the first half of the event slowly working his way into the top three, and settled into the second position on lap 22 after battling Johnson for several laps. With five laps remaining Johnson and the No. 97 of Marty Ward fought to bring home a third-place finish. Fields went on to pick up the win. Cochran, Johnson, Ward and the No. 7 of Whitney Lail rounded out the top five.

The No. 00 of Eddie Gilbert led the 4-Cylinder field to the green flag for the 25-lap event and slowly began to pull away from the competition, leaving the remainder of the field to string out. As the race progresses the No. 17 of Curtis Pardue had worked his way from the back of the field to the second position by the midway point of the race, as the No. 98 of Rob Lewis settled into the third position. The first and only caution was displayed on lap 20 when the No. 6 of Rodney Trivette spun coming out of turn four. Pardue challenged Gilbert for the lead on the restart, but Gilbert prevailed and picked up the checkered flag. Pardue, Lewis, Trivette and No. 28 of Dennis Trivette finished second through fifth, respectively.

The No. 6 of Charlie Neill brought the field to green for the 20-lap WrenchRags Renegades event.  Neill quickly pulled away from the field leaving the No. 09 of Blake Walker to challenge the No. 77 of Shawn Hayes for the second position, Hayes settled into the spot as the remainder of the field spread out around the track. Neill went on to pick up the win, leaving Walker, Hayes, the No. 5 of Dillon Crouch and the No. 4 of Justin Austin to round out the top five.
